A California State Bar Certified Attorney Referral Service will and must follow certain rules, regulations and standards as set forth by the California State Bar to protect the public while assisting attorneys in meeting their professional obligations.

Certification Rules also encourage attorney referral services to offer free assistance to locate alternate services regarding Legal Aid, Pro Bono, and low cost legal help as well as lawyers who speak other languages in addition to English.
